W. Emil Forman Awards for Community Service provides financial assistance to members of the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity who display outstanding community service.

Requirements

This program is open to brothers in good standing who are juniors or seniors in college or who are planning to begin full-time graduate study.

Applicants must submit brief essays on 1) how they would characterize their approach to their studies; 2) their vocational and nonvocational goals; 3) any offices and positions of leadership they have held outside their chapter; 4) how they have displayed leadership and contributed to the betterment of life outside their chapter; 5) any offices they have held in their chapter; 6) how they have displayed leadership and contributed to the betterment of their chapter; 7) what being a member of the fraternity has meant to them, and 8) their involvement in community service and how that service has impacted their life.

Selection is based on academic achievement (GPA of 3.0 or higher) and service to the community.
