Requirements

This program is open to students enrolled full-time at colleges and universities in Montana and working on an undergraduate or graduate degree in fisheries science, especially native fish conservation and management and habitat restoration.

Applicants must submit 1) information on their involvement with the American Fisheries Society (AFS), including whether or not they are a member, their involvement in activities, and how their professionalism and leadership qualities make them stand out as a candidate for this award; 2) a 200word description of their research project or research interests and experience and how those relate to native fish conservation and management and/or habitat restoration; 3) a 100-word description of their professional goals; and 4) a 100-word statement of their financial need, particularly how the award funds would be used to further the conservation needs of Montana native fish.
