Walter Cronkite Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors and college students who live or attend school in the area served by the Mid-America Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS) and wish to major in a media-related field.

Requirements
  • This program is open to high school seniors and college undergraduates from the NATAS Mid-America region.
  • Applicants must be planning to prepare for a mediarelated career.
  • They must submit transcripts; 2 letters of recommendation; a list of their creative work (e.g., still photography, theatrical credits, videos and films, scripts, TV graphic work, musical composition for TV or films); a resume that includes curricular and extracurricular work in media; and a 500word essay on their career goals.
  • Selection is based on merit.
