Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors who are U.S. citizens planning careers of service in local, state, or federal government.

Applicants must submit a 1page essay describing why they plan a career in government service, including any inspiration derived from the leadership of George Washington in his famous crossing of Delaware.

Selection is based on the understanding of career requirements, purpose in choice of a career, preparation for their career, leadership, sincerity, and historical perspective.
