Requirements

This program is open to Virginia high school students at any grade level who have completed 4 or more years of Latin.

Candidates must be nominated by a member of the Classical Association of Virginia (CAV).

Nominees must have demonstrated a passion for the study of Latin in daily classroom work, participation in club activities, and promotion of Latin within the school and/or community.

Participation in CAV contests is preferred, but the selection is based primarily on the student's ability to "spread the word" about classics and encourage others to study Latin.

Financial need is not considered.
