Requirements

This program is open to the children (including legally adopted children) of firefighters who died in the line of duty.

Applicants must be attending or planning to attend an accredited 2year college, 4-year college or university, or vocational training institution in the United States or Canada.

Selection is based primarily on financial need, although consideration is also given to academic performance (at least a 2.0 GPA), letters of recommendation, and a 200word essay on the applicant's reasons for wanting to continue their education.
