William E. and Barbara I. Van Trump Scholarship provides financial assistance to female undergraduate and graduate students at schools in the service area of the Union Pacific Railroad who are interested in preparing for a career in railway engineering.

Requirements

This program is open to women working on a bachelor's or higher degree at an ABET-accredited 4- or 5-year program in the service area of the Union Pacific Railroad.

Applicants must be studying civil engineering, construction management, electrical engineering, industrial engineering, or mechanical engineering and have a GPA of 2.5 or higher.

They must be interested in a career in railway engineering.

Financial need is not considered in the selection process.
