William (Widdy) Neale Scholarship provides financial assistance to high school seniors who have worked at a golf club that is a members of the Connecticut State Golf Association (CSGA) and plan to attend college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to seniors graduating from high schools in Connecticut who plan to attend a college or university in any state.

Applicants must have worked at a CSGA member golf club for 2 full golf seasons as a caddie, in the pro shop, with the maintenance crew, or in the clubhouse, locker room, or dining room.

They must be recommended by the CSGA club representative, golf professional, course superintendent, or other officials; each club may recommend only 1 student.

Selection is based on grades, character, citizenship, community service, and financial need.
