Wright-Patterson Officers' Spouses' Club Military Dependent Child Scholarship provides financial assistance to children of military and civilian employees at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio and surrounding areas who are high school seniors planning to attend college in any state.

Requirements

This program is open to high school seniors and home-school students in the area of Ohio serviced by Wright-Patterson Air Force Base planning to attend an accredited college in any state.

Applicants must be the dependent child of 1) an active or retired U.S. armed forces or Reserve component member who are affiliated with or reside within 100 miles of WrightPatterson Air Force Base; or 2) a deceased, POW, or MIA U.S. armed forces or Reserve component member and the dependent lives within 100 miles of Wright-Patterson Air Force Base.

Selection is based on that essay, GPA, extracurricular activities, honors or awards, community activities, work and/or volunteer experiences, personal goals, special interests and hobbies, SAT and/or ACT scores, and letters of recommendation.

Children of members of the WrightPatterson Officers' Spouses' Club are eligible, but children of members of the scholarship committee are not.
