Requirements

Applicants must be entering their senior year of full-time study in an undergraduate engineering program or enrolled in a graduate engineering or related science program at an ABET-accredited college or university.

They must be pursuing a course of study or research related to the conservation of energy in transportation, agriculture, construction, or power generation.

Emphasis is placed on research or study related to the internal combustion engine.

Selection is based on academic and leadership achievement related to engineering or science, scholastic performance, and special study or honors in the field of the award, and an essay of 250 to 300 words on how their study or research relates to the field of their award.

Financial need is not considered.
