From the Institution

California Northstate University Undergraduate College of Health Sciences (CNUCHS) is a private, student-centered institution committed to preparing the next generation of healthcare leaders. Located in Rancho Cordova, California, CNUCHS offers rigorous academic programs and personalized advising designed to support students pursuing careers in medicine, nursing, dentistry, pharmacy, and other health professions. Our PreMedical and Pre-Health Professions Pathways are designed for both undergraduate and postbaccalaureate students who are preparing to apply to medical, dental, pharmacy, or other health professional schools. These programs provide focused academic preparation, hands-on learning, MCAT support, and direct connections to CNU's professional colleges. Students benefit from small class sizes, individualized health professions advising, and unique embedded experiences like narrative medicine, service learning, research, and capstone projects-equipping them with the knowledge and skills to succeed in competitive graduate programs and as future healthcare professionals. Our 3-year Direct Entry Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program allows students to begin their journey toward a nursing career from day one-without needing to reapply after completing general education courses. Students are supported through clinical placements, NCLEX preparation, and faculty mentorship in a program that emphasizes clinical excellence and compassionate care. At CNUCHS, we believe that being career-ready means being people-ready. We are guided by the mission of California Northstate University: to advance the science and art of healthcare through education, service, research, personal wellness, and social accountability. Our students graduate not only with strong academic preparation but with a deep sense of purpose and responsibility to the communities they will serve.
