From the Institution
CDU is committed to providing greater access to higher education through its affordable, fully online programs designed around the needs of working adults. The university was founded in 1983 and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission. It is featured in the Newman Guide, which helps families learn about faithful Catholic colleges and navigate the college search process. At the undergraduate level, the university offers a BA degree program in Theology and an AA degree program in Liberal Arts with a Concentration in Catholic Studies. Credits earned in the AA program can later be applied to the BA program. CDU is transfer credit-friendly: up to 81 transfer credits may be accepted, and previous theology credits are not required. Students may have earned their credits at college or through the Advanced Placement, International Baccalaureate, DANTES, or CLEP programs.
