From the Institution

Connecticut College is a selective liberal arts college dedicated to educating global citizens who tackle the world's most complex problems. Located in the historic city of New London, the 750-acre arboretum campus overlooks the Thames River and Long Island Sound. It is within minutes of a transportation hub providing access to New York City, Boston and Providence. Among the College's many qualities, perhaps most noteworthy is its innovative curriculum, called Connections. It allows students to orchestrate their education with a team of advisers, to learn for life beyond college and to put the world together in new ways. In short, students build an integrated study plan that connects everything they learn and do at the College over four years, including coursework in their major, classes outside their major, study abroad and internships, and a senior project. They also hone their skills for the job market through the College's nationally recognized career program, which guarantees funding for internships and other professional development opportunities to every student. Through a unique partnership, Conn students have access to courses in engineering, business, and more at the neighboring U.S. Coast Guard Academy.
