From the Institution

Emmanuel College is a co-educational, residential institution with a 17-acre campus in the heart of Boston's educational, scientific, cultural and medical communities. Enrolling around 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students, the College provides boundless opportunities for students to expand their worldview through rigorous coursework, significant internship and career opportunities throughout the Boston area and beyond, collaborations with distinguished and dedicated faculty, and participation in a dynamic campus community. Emmanuel's more than 70 programs in the sciences, liberal arts, business, nursing, and education foster spirited discourse and substantive learning experiences that honor the College's Catholic educational mission to educate the whole person and provide an ethical and relevant 21st-century education. Since its founding in 1919, Emmanuel College has stayed true to its core values and beliefs. More than 20,000 living alumni have graduated to become influential scientists, teachers, politicians, journalists and more-extending Emmanuel's values into countless industries and communities. Of alumni from the Class of 2022, 97% are either employed, enrolled in further education or engaged in service by one year after graduation. With 100% of students completing at least one internship as part of the core curriculum, Emmanuel students make career-igniting connections with our dedicated alumni network as well as through the College's employer partnerships with renowned businesses, laboratories, clinics, media outlets and nonprofits. In fact, 30% of students complete two or more internships. Why? They can't help but take advantage of all the opportunities available in a city as dynamic of Boston, including within Emmanuel's neighborhood within the Longwood Medical and Academic Area (LMA) and Fenway area.
