From the Institution

The Escuela de Artes Plásticas y Diseño de Puerto Rico (School of Fine Arts and Design, or EAPD), founded in 1966, is a specialized public Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) dedicated to the comprehensive education of professional artists, designers, and teachers of visual art. EAPD is the only institution in Puerto Rico that grants bachelor's degrees in fine arts (BFA). Since 2010 the professional quality of its programs has been certified by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD).
