Scores of 3 or lower are not accepted for any credit. Students matriculating before Fall 2016 could receive equivalency for either BIO 201 or BIO 202 via the AP biology test. Default credit for BIO 202 was assigned. A maximum of 8 hours of credit will be granted for the combination of the two exams in Calculus. Credit awarded for Physics C tests (Mechanics & Electricity/Magnetism) is dependent on Department assessment. Effective 2012, Latin Literature and Latin Vergil were combined into one course and test. Effective 2014, Physics B was divided into Physics 1 and Physics 2. Effective 2015, Computer Science A & B will no longer be accepted.

Hillsdale College is a private liberal arts college with approximately 1600 students. Founded in 1844, the College remains, in the words of its Articles of Association, "grateful to God for the inestimable blessings resulting from the prevalence of civil and religious liberty and intelligent piety" in our nation, and dedicated to "the diffusion of sound learning" that is "essential to the perpetuity of these blessings." It is distinguished by its rigorous core curriculum, by its principled rejection of federal and state taxpayer funding, and by the pledge of its Board of Trustees to resist any attempts by the government to regulate its internal affairs. Hillsdale promotes the principles of liberty nationwide through its national speech digest, Imprimis, which has a monthly circulation of more than 6 million and through several outreach programs, including the Center for Constructive Alternatives, one of the largest college lecture series in America; the Barney Charter School Initiative; the National Leadership Seminars; the Hillsdale Hostels; and its free online courses covering the subjects of Hillsdale's core curriculum. In 2012, the College launched the Van Andel Graduate School of Statesmanship, offering both an M.A. and a Ph.D. program in Politics. In 2019, Hillsdale established the Steve and Amy Van Andel Graduate School of Government at its Allan P. Kirby, Jr. Center for Constitutional Studies and Citizenship in Washington, D.C. In 2022, the College opened the Diana Davis Spencer Graduate School of Classical Education, with its M.A. in Classical Education program.
