The Aguadilla Campus of the Inter American University of Puerto Rico's mission is the integral formation of its students, through an education of excellence, within an ecumenical Christian context, at all levels of formal education, with an emphasis on values ethical, civic, democratic and Christian. Graduates are expected to have broad scientific, humanistic and technical knowledge. Likewise, that they are trained for the critical analysis of reality. They will develop as responsible individuals, committed to the environment, at the service of an interdependent, pluralistic and global community, and capable of adapting to change. In keeping with this purpose, academic areas will be strengthened, giving special attention to interdisciplinary education, distance education in its virtual component, with national and international scope and projection, and the integration of technology in all areas of knowledge. These will be developed through an articulated management of institutional operations and resources, in accordance with political, economic, social, technological, environmental and cultural changes, within a universal context. The Campus offer students 100 academic programs: 9 technical certificates, 18 associate degrees, 49 baccalaureates, 18 master's degrees, and 6 post-baccalaureate professional certificates, of which 22 programs are offered online. Has the following five undergraduate departments: Health Sciences, Economic and Administrative Sciences, Science and Technology, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Education and Humanistic Studies. Additionally, the Campus has a Graduate Studies Department and a certificate division known as InterTec. Also, is accredited by the Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN) for the Associate degree and Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; from the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) and the Council for Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP) for the Teachers Program. Is recognized as a cutting edge institution, with technological equipment in the area of science, technology and nursing. Graduates are recognized for their high academic quality.
