From the Institution

Inter American University of Puerto Rico is one of the largest higher education institutions in Puerto Rico with approximately 27,935 students on 11 campuses. San Germán (SG) is the founding campus of the Institution, established in 1912 by Reverend Dr. John Will Harris, a missionary from Texas. It is accredited by the Middle States Council on Higher Education (MSCHE) since 1944 as the first private institution of higher education accredited outside of the Continental U.S, a distinction held ever since, and is licensed by the Post-Secondary Institution Board of Puerto Rico. The San Germán campus has 3,299 students of which 99% are of Hispanic origin. IAUPR-SG offers associate, bachelor, master, professional and doctoral degrees. In addition, the campus offers technical and vocational certificates below the associate degree level for students interested in job credentials and vocational training as well as postgraduate professional certificates.
