Kent State University at Tuscarawas, the only locally owned regional campus in Ohio, is located on 180 scenic acres in New Philadelphia. KSU Tuscarawas boasts a vibrant and friendly atmosphere with over 2,200 students served through credit programming and another 4,500 individuals served through non-credit courses offered by the Office of Business and Community Services. Students can complete over 30 bachelor's and associate degrees, as well as several certificate programs - all taught by engaged and accomplished faculty (average student-to-faculty ratio of 17:1). Kent State Tuscarawas is well known for its programs in nursing, engineering technology, business, animation game design, and veterinary technology, which is one of only seven accredited programs in Ohio and is also provided to the Trumbull Campus. The bachelor's degree in agribusiness is also unique to the Tuscarawas Campus. The Performing Arts Center, featuring a state-of-the-art 1,100-seat theatre, brings national and international talent to the region. Over 267 national touring shows have performed on the theater stage. Additionally, the Performing Arts Center is dedicated to bringing the arts to area school children. Over 53,500 students have benefited from its educational programs. Along with artistic, cultural and educational impacts, the Performing Arts Center is also an economic driver to the local economy. The Tolloty Technology Incubator is designed to support entrepreneurial efforts with dedicated business incubator space for start-up companies linked to high-tech research, development and intellectual property enterprises. The facility is equipped to handle the most demanding of IT applications and features a fully equipped, high-tech wet lab for product research and development. A member of the United States Collegiate Athletic Association, the Kent State Tuscarawas Golden Eagles Athletics offers students the opportunity to participate in intercollegiate sports at the championship level. Additionally, students can enhance their educational experience through participation in numerous activities, cultural events, organizations and clubs. A new walking trail surrounding the picturesque campus is available for students, staff, faculty and the community. With low tuition rates and over $375,000 in scholarships awarded annually, Kent State Tuscarawas makes college affordable and attainable for all.
