LeTourneau University is THE Christian polytechnic university. Here, educators engage students to nurture Christian virtue, develop competency and ingenuity in their professional fields, integrate faith and work, and serve the local and global community. LETU is small enough to give students hands-on professional experience and comprehensive enough to assemble outstanding faculty in dozens of academic programs. Renowned for its strong engineering and aviation programs, LETU students also prepare for success in over 140 undergraduate and graduate degree programs offered online and at the university's 162-acre residential campus in Longview, Texas. LETU's total enrollment of about 3,500 students represents nearly all 50 states, 35 foreign countries and 50 denominations. About 1,300 students attend classes at the university's main campus where students apply knowledge in practical and powerful ways. LETU's aviation program is the only comprehensive collegiate aviation program in the state of Texas, offering an innovative program in Unmanned Aircraft Systems. LETU is home to the STING Precision Flight Team, which ranked 1st place overall in the virtual qualifier for the National Intercollegiate Flying Association SAFECON flight competition. LETU biology students research new viruses to combat disease while others research ways to improve wheelchair functionality in rough-terrain environments. LETU's nursing program, has maintained a 100% pass rate on NCLEX exams since it began, and our teacher education students have been named Texas Student Teacher of the Year by CSOTTE seven times. In every lab, airplane and classroom, LETU builds on the legacy of the university's founder, the legendary entrepreneur and inventor R.G.
