Founded in 1950, Mercy University is a private, not-for-profit higher education institution. Mercy University offers a quality liberal arts and professional education within its six schools: Business, Education, Health and Natural Sciences, Liberal Arts, Nursing, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. Mercy University's main campus encompasses 66 acres alongside the picturesque Hudson River in Dobbs Ferry, NY, a suburb of Westchester County, 25 miles north of New York City. The Dobbs Ferry Campus offers athletic programs and residence halls for students. The University's athletic facilities are located at the Dobbs Ferry Campus, including five outdoor tennis courts, a swimming pool, a state-of-the-art turf field for soccer, baseball, lacrosse, and field hockey. The library at the main campus serves as the nucleus of the Mercy University network. Students at all locations have access to the main library, which houses a total collection of more than 215,000 volumes as well as extensive audio-visual materials. In fall 2019, the Manhattan Campus expanded to an additional 95,000 square feet, including multi-use common spaces with an internet café, high-tech classrooms and a dormitory. In March 2019, Mercy University entered into an agreement with The College of New Rochelle (CNR) to provide a seamless pathway for existing and future CNR students.
