From the Institution

Chartered in 1891, Meredith College opened with just over 200 women students. Today, Meredith College is one of the largest independent private women's colleges in the United States and offers over 90 undergraduate majors and minors and more than 30 coeducational graduate and certificate programs. Meredith challenges students to explore their interests, expand their skills, and build on their strengths.
