Muhlenberg College's reputation as one of America's top liberal arts colleges is based on the quality of its challenging academic program and its outstanding faculty. Offering a wide array of fields of study, modern learning environments and personalized coaching and support, Muhlenberg provides students with an educational experience that prepares them to make their impact today and in the future. Our wide-ranging curriculum features 40 majors and 37 minors across the arts, humanities, sciences and social sciences, as well as career-oriented programs in accounting, business, education, entrepreneurship, finance, public health and, of course, pre medicine, pre health and prelaw. Muhlenberg's dynamic curriculum is driven by professors known for their commitment as teachers and scholars. Our faculty - experts in their fields - love challenging students with bold ideas and bringing their scholarly expertise in today's most pressing matters to the classroom. With a 9:1 student-faculty ratio, students collaborate with faculty who care about their success on projects with real impact. Outside of class, students find countless opportunities for enrichment and connection that expand the intellectual core of a Muhlenberg education and build a sense of belonging. For a diverse student body of approximately 1,900 from across the country and the world, there is always something to do on campus. More than 118 student clubs and organizations, 20 intramural and club sports, 23 Division III sports teams and leadership opportunities aplenty mean that students can always find something to match their interests and their goals. More than half of our students study abroad in one of the College's approximately 130 approved off-campus programs outside the U.S. Muhlenberg's innovative coaching program challenges every student to realize their full potential through personalized connections. A team of three faculty and staff coaches - a college life coach and a career coach in addition to a faculty advisor - guides each incoming student as they learn to thrive on campus. As part of this program, students begin to explore the passions that will define their postgraduate path starting in their first year and continuing until graduation. The Muhlenberg Career Center helps students and graduates benefit from the College's rewarding learning experience through internships, externships and networking programs. Annually, 90 percent of graduates are working or continuing their education within a year of graduation.
