Since 1940, the mission of New England Institute of Technology (NEIT) is to provide specialized undergraduate and graduate degree and certificate programs that prepare students for professional and technical careers. By focusing on employer-driven education, more than 50 technical and professional programs combine experiential courses with an integrated liberal arts core. All NEIT programs emphasize to students that continuous learning is essential to personal and professional growth. Graduates are prepared to enter the workforce or to continue their education. NEIT's College of Health Sciences (CHS) is located at its main campus in East Greenwich, Rhode Island. CHS is housed in a 50,000 sq. ft. space within the 320,000 sq. ft. main campus building. The College of Health Sciences' learning spaces are equipped with interactive high-fidelity nursing and surgical simulation labs, surgical suites, treatment gyms and the latest medical equipment available in the healthcare industry. Curriculum will be delivered through an interdisciplinary team approach, where CHS students are not only immersed in active, experiential learning in their field of study, but also collaborate with peers in the college's other health sciences programs to provide training for best patient outcomes. CHS graduates emerge well prepared to serve as highly skilled healthcare professionals. As an extension of its primary mission, NEIT offers students the opportunity to pursue technological studies to satisfy their interests. NEIT provides opportunities for students from diverse educational backgrounds and with varying levels of ability to study in a variety of technological and professional fields. New England Tech is a private, not-for-profit technical and professional university and is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education. Several of NEIT's academic departments have specialized professional accreditations as well. NEIT has three campuses located in Rhode Island. In addition to its main 225-acre campus in East Greenwich, there are two campuses located in Warwick, Rhode Island in close proximity to T.F. Green Airport. Shuttle transportation is provided to each of the three campuses. New England Tech is proud to continue its tradition of providing its graduates with the knowledge and hands-on skills required to succeed in today's competitive labor market.
