From the Institution

Founded by the Vincentian community in 1856, Niagara University is a comprehensive institution, blending the best of a liberal arts and professional education, grounded in a values-based, Catholic tradition. Its fully accredited colleges of Arts and Sciences; Education; Nursing; Hospitality, Sport, and Tourism Management; and the Holzschuh College of Business Administration offer programs at the baccalaureate, master's and doctoral level. Niagara University, which overlooks the scenic Niagara River Gorge and is located just four miles from Niagara Falls, operates as a binational university - with its campus in Lewiston, N.Y., as well as a campus in the Greater Toronto Area in Vaughan. As the first Vincentian university established in the United States, Niagara prepares students for personal and professional success while emphasizing service to the community in honor of St. Vincent de Paul. All undergraduates participate in service learning, half in undergraduate research, and many in study abroad, cooperative education, and internships.
