The University grants advanced placement, and placement with credit to beginning students who score three and above on tests in the Advanced Placement Program of the College Entrance Examination Board. A copy of the test results should be sent to South Carolina State University. Departmental chairpersons make the decision to award placement with credit, or placement without credit.
