From the Institution

Founded by the Sisters of St. Joseph in 1916, St. Joseph's University, New York has provided an affordable liberal arts education to a diverse group of students for more than 100 years. Independent and coeducational, St. Joseph's prepares students for lives of integrity, intellectual rigor, spiritual depth, social responsibility and service; lives that are worthy of the University's motto: Esse non videri - "To be, not to seem."
