St. Norbert College combines academic excellence with a deep commitment to the student experience. In small classes, faculty members provide individualized attention focused on student success. All of it takes place on a quintessential college campus where historic buildings share a beautiful riverfront with state-of-the-art facilities that include a dining commons, library, $40 million science center, and sports and fitness center, all recently completed. Founded in 1898, St. Norbert is among the nation's top Catholic liberal arts colleges. It welcomes students of all faiths who join an energetic and inclusive community, in keeping with the principles of the college's Norbertine founders. At St. Norbert, the goal is to help students pursue what matters and become engaged, informed global citizens. The college offers more than 80 fields of study, and several graduate degrees including an MBA. Academics are enhanced by a rigorous honors program. Student-faculty collaborative research is offered as early as freshman year. Professional internship opportunities are also abundant. The college is global in outlook; approximately 30 percent of students study abroad, and the campus typically welcomes students from 20 other countries. St. Norbert is home to 95 student organizations that provide a rich co-curricular campus environment. A Division III school, St. Norbert fields 23 varsity teams, and it has traditionally produced more academic all-conference student-athletes than any other school in its conference. The Green Knights are frequent conference champions. Service opportunities are hallmarks of a St. Norbert education, and the college has been recognized by both the John Templeton Foundation and the Carnegie Foundation for its exemplary programs. More than 97 percent of St. Norbert students receive financial aid.
