ESF offers a variety of academic programs leading to Associate, Bachelor's, Master's and Doctorate degrees, for students interested in sustainability and the science, engineering, design, and management of natural resources and the environment. At ESF, students are part of one of the world's largest college campuses which spans from Syracuse, New York, across more than 25,000 acres of forests and wetlands at our field stations throughout Central New York and in the Adirondack Park. ESF is a small, specialized college community. Through our long-standing partnership with Syracuse University (SU), which is located right next door, students have access to big university benefits - including classes, student activities and organizations, and recreational facilities. At the Ranger School, students engage in hands-on learning in the 2,800-acre-forest that is part of ESF's campus in Wanakena, in the Adirondack Mountains. Ranger School students pursue the Associate of Applied Science degree. Students leave ESF well-trained to execute on improving the world - and their expertise has never been more in demand.
