The Advanced Placement Program (AP), administered by the College Board allows high school students to take college-level course work. College credit is awarded to those students who earn sufficiently high grades on AP examinations covering basic freshman-course subject matter. Three hours of departmental elective credit is awarded for AP exam scores of 3 or higher, which can be used to satisfy university degree requirements. Specific course credit is awarded for scores as noted in the catalog. It is the student's responsibility to have official test results sent from the College Board to the Office of Admissions before credit can be awarded.
