Advanced placement and/or credit may be granted to entering students who have achieved appropriate scores on one or more of the Advanced Placement Tests offered by the College Entrance Examination Board (see list below). Students who receive advanced placement credit may progress to more advanced courses. Students receiving credit for advanced placement may apply these credits toward the total required for a degree. As a result, it is possible to hasten the completion of degree requirements or to enroll for course work in greater depth and breadth than would otherwise be possible.
