The University of New Haven is a leader in career-focused education, offering innovative majors in engineering, health sciences and healthcare, business, law enforcement and public service, liberal arts and sciences, and fine arts. In the last decade, the University has completed more than $300 million in major capital projects. Exciting facilities on campus include the Bergami Center for Science, Technology and Innovation (including a state-of-the-art communication studio), the Peterson Performance Center for student-athletes, the Henry C. Lee Institute of Forensic Science (featuring a crime-scene simulation center), a waterfront Marine Science Center, and various labs and clinical spaces for School of Health Sciences programs. Upcoming additions include a space to foster research, innovation, corporate partnerships, and applied technology called the Elevation Center as well as a new, on-campus building for the Pompea College of Business. Students engage in hands-on, resume-building experiences through faculty-mentored research, internships, service learning, and study abroad. While UNewHaven students partake in study abroad programs worldwide, the University's satellite campus in Prato, Italy, offers exclusive opportunities. Newer academic offerings include undergraduate degrees in Artificial Intelligence, Business Analytics, Cybersecurity, Game Design and Interactive Media, Health Sciences (including Occupational Therapy and Speech-Language Pathology), Homeland Security, Intelligence Analysis and Medical Laboratory Sciences. NCAA Division I athletics, a 260-member marching band, Greek life, Army ROTC, a student-run radio station, a showstopping theater production company, Model United Nations, and 150+ recognized student organizations are just a few of the great things students can get involved with at the University of New Haven.
