Mission UPRU's mission is to provide higher education at the undergraduate level, primarily to the rural community comprising the municipality of Utuado and neighboring towns. The University serves the agricultural, economic, and sociocultural needs of the region through various academic offerings and competitive research and creative programs. Vision The University of Puerto Rico at Utuado is a post-secondary institution at the forefront in promoting academic, cultural, and economic development, committed to sustainability and environmental protection.
