Rooted in the Catholic and Franciscan traditions, the University of Saint Francis serves dynamic and diverse students. Saint Francis offers over 60 academic programs, 40 student organizations and 18 intercollegiate sports. With a career success rate of 96%, Saint Francis graduates are routinely sought by top companies. Saint Francis has an enrollment of approximately 1,900 students and its main campus is in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Saint Francis athletic teams compete in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Sisters of St. Francis of Perpetual Adoration founded the college in 1890 and moved to Fort Wayne in 1944. Saint Francis College became the University of Saint Francis in 1998 and has grown to include multiple resident halls and academic facilities. It is highly recognizable in Fort Wayne because of the Brookside mansion, built by the industrialist John Bass and housing the President's Office, the Office of Alumni Relations and the Office of Institutional Advancement. Other landmark buildings include the St. Francis Chapel, Achatz Hall of Science and John and Toni Murray Research Center, the Pope John Paul II Center and the Doermer Family Center for Health Science Education. Athletic facilities include the Bishop John D'Arcy Stadium and the Hutzell Athletic Center. Academic programs are divided into the College of Health Sciences and the College of Arts, Sciences and Business. The university operates a site in Crown Point, Indiana, and has an educational partnership with St. Elizabeth School of Nursing in Lafayette, Indiana.
