AP Credit Policy
Students at the University have the opportunity to determine course placement and to earn credit by examination through the Advanced Placement Program and an array of other programs. Credit by examination satisfies degree requirements in the same way as credit earned by passing a course, except that it does not count as credit earned in residence and does not impact the student's institutional GPA. Currently, the University awards more credit by examination via the Advanced Placement Program than through its other programs. Students who earn scores on AP exams that meet score guidelines set by the University may use their results for both placement into specific courses as well as earning credit for eligible courses. Students should work with Testing Services and their academic departments to determine which courses will help them meet their academic goals.
For more information, view the credit policy on the college's website.
