AP Credit Policy

The Faculty of Arts & Science (St. George), the Daniels Faculty of Architecture, Landscape, and Design, the Faculty of Music, U of T Mississauga and U of T Scarborough may award transfer credit for a maximum of 3.0 full credits provided a grade of at least 4 is achieved in each AP exam. Transfer credits are assessed after you accept your offer of admission. You must arrange to have your final results sent directly from the College Board to University Admissions & Outreach by the deadline indicated in your offer of admission. Results issued by your school are not acceptable. Find more details on requesting your AP scores on the College Board website. The school code for the University of Toronto is 0982. If you have completed more than one exam in the same discipline, only 1.0 full credit will be given for that particular subject area. (For example, if you have taken AP World History and AP European History, you will receive one HIS credit only.) Students admitted to the International Foundation Program (IFP) will have their transfer credits assessed after successful completion of IFP in the following academic year.

Need Help Choosing a Major?

Keep in mind most colleges don’t require students to declare a major until the end of their sophomore year, and many students change majors at least once.
