The University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire prepares students to succeed in a connected world influenced by global economic and social forces. It is UW-Eau Claire's goal that before graduation, every student experience at least one of the meaningful hands-on learning opportunities that set us apart - including study abroad, internships, domestic or international cultural immersion programs, and faculty-student research. Ranked eighth among the top public regional universities in the Midwest for 2021 by U.S. News & World Report. Our students earn top-level honors, including Rhodes, Truman and Goldwater scholarships. UW-Eau Claire is among the top 20 master's-level schools nationwide in the overall number of students it sends abroad, and is the only master's-level school in Wisconsin or Minnesota in that group. Students also have meaningful domestic cultural immersion experiences, ranging from civil rights pilgrimages in the South to volunteer work in Wisconsin tribal schools to research in Western mountain ranges.
