The University of Wisconsin-Superior is a dynamic public university of around 2,500 students in the Duluth-Superior MN-WI metro area, which is on the western tip of Lake Superior. UW-Superior is known for its quality academic programs, small class sizes and friendly atmosphere. Our size and 14-to-1 student-teacher ratio and an average class size of 18 means faculty members have time to engage, challenge and mentor students. Hundreds of UW-Superior students work in project-based classes that meet real community needs. Four nationally-known institutes conduct ongoing research on Lake Superior's ecosystem and improvements to the region's transportation and logistics systems. Ninety-three percent of UW-Superior students enter the workforce or graduate school within six months of graduation, with 24 of its majors having a 100 percent post-graduate success rate. Eighty-seven of UW-Superior graduates are in a career related to their major.
