As one of West Virginia's oldest public universities, Marshall University's roots run deep. Beginning as Marshall Academy in 1837, Marshall has grown to include nearly 160 undergraduate majors, a full-service Marshall Medical Center, the state-of-the-art Robert C. With more than 300 individual performances, concerts, and events on campus each year, it's easy to see that the arts are important to our university.
