Mathematics

A general program that focuses on the analysis of quantities, magnitudes, forms, and their relationships, using symbolic logic and language. Includes instruction in algebra, calculus, functional analysis, geometry, number theory, logic, topology and other mathematical specializations.

Mathematics occurs in the workplace and schools─it’s everywhere. Math plays out when grocery shopping, creating budgets, paying bills, measuring ingredients while cooking or baking, managing time, and driving.

As a Mathematics major, you know there’s more than meets the Pi. While it can be challenging, it’s also creative and fun. You’ll sharpen your critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills. You can focus your interest in mathematics on various areas, such as theory and concepts or applied math.
