AASEA Legacy Scholarship provides financial assistance to upper-division and graduate students in Arkansas who are studying in fields related to the delivery of services to children with special needs or who have such a disability.

Requirements
  • This program is open to juniors, seniors, and graduate students at universities in Arkansas who either 1) are working on a degree in a field related to providing services to children with special needs; or 2) have a disability for which they have received services.
  • Eligible fields of study include K12 special education, early childhood special education, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, special education supervision, administration, or other related fields.
  • Applicants must have a relative who is a member of the Arkansas Association of Special Education Administrators (AASEA).
  • Special consideration is given to people employed by or planning to be employed by school districts or educational cooperatives in Arkansas.
