The American Association of University Women has been empowering women as individuals and as a community since 1881. The American Association of University Women of Fort Worth and Tarrant County is dedicated to the advancement of women and girls, lifelong education, and positive societal change. The AAUW - Tarrant County Branch Scholarship assists students with the educational costs of pursuing a degree at Tarrant County College. Students who demonstrate the importance of leadership and community service are welcome to apply.

Requirements
  • Minimum 2.75 GPA or a passing GED score
  • Resident of Tarrant County, Texas for at least 12 months
  • Seeking a bachelor’s degree upon completion of an associate degree
  • Attending or planning to attend Tarrant County College
  • Participate in community service
  • Demonstrate leadership qualities
  • Enroll in a minimum of 9 credit hours during the award period Preference is given to single parents/guardians with dependent children.
