Requirements
  • This program is open to JACL members who are enrolled or planning to enroll at a college, university, trade school, or business college.
  • Applicants must be undergraduate or graduate students who are able to demonstrate that, without this aid, they will have to delay or terminate their education.
  • They must submit information on their involvement in JACL and a 2page essay on a topic that changes annually but relates to Japanese Americans.
  • Selection is based on that essay, financial need, academic history, JACL involvement, school activities, work history, scholastic honors, and community involvement.
