About the Scholarship

The Academic Challenge Scholarship is available to traditional and nontraditional students who reside in Arkansas. Graduating seniors, current college students, or returning adult students who have not previously earned a bachelor's degree, and are pursuing or planning to pursue a professional certification, associate, or bachelor's degree are eligible to apply.

Requirements
  • Minimum 19 ACT score (traditional students)
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA (nontraditional students)
  • Resident of Arkansas (minimum 1 year)
  • Graduating high school senior, current college student, or returning adult student
  • Attend college in Arkansas as a fulltime student
  • Seeking a professional certification, associate, bachelor's degree, or a nursing school diploma
  • U.S. citizen or permanent resident
  • Not be in default or owe a refund on a federal or state student financial aid loan for higher education
  • Not borrowed in excess of annual federal loan limits
  • Not be incarcerated at the time of application
  • Complied with the United States Selective Service System requirements for registration
  • Certify to be drugfree
