Requirements
  • This program is open to seniors graduating from public or private high schools in Oakland, California; children of employees of the Port of Oakland may be attending any high school.
  • Applicants must be interested in working full time on a bachelor's degree at an accredited 4year college or university in any state.
  • They must have an overall GPA of 3.0 or higher.
  • Students of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds are eligible, but the goal of the sponsor is to promote mutual understanding and goodwill by organizing Asian cultural programs.
  • Selection is based on the potential for academic achievement and potential for impact on the community (both immediate and longterm).
