Requirements
  • This program is open to residents of Iowa who are enrolled or planning to enroll at a college, university, or community college in the state that has an accredited highway construction program.
  • Applicants must be interested in majoring in heavy equipment operation, engineering technician, diesel technology, or other constructionrelated fields with an emphasis on the highway, bridge, municipal, or utility construction.
  • They must intend to remain in Iowa and seek employment with a member company of the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Iowa.
  • Selection is based on academic achievement, extracurricular activities (especially those related to construction), work history, and financial need.
