About the Scholarship

The Al Lucas Memorial Scholarship program is available to scholar-athletes graduating from any Bibb County Public High School in Georgia. One female and one male athlete will be chosen from Northeast High School and 5 additional awards will be given to student-athletes from each of the other 5 Bibb County high schools. Athletes who have demonstrated a caring attitude, high moral character and show characteristics of positive leadership are encouraged to apply. Students with financial need receive special consideration.

  • Member of an athletic program
  • Minimum 2.5 GPA
  • Graduating senior from Central, Howard, Northeast, Rutland, Southwest, and Westside high schools in Bibb County, Georgia
  • Seeking an associate or bachelor's degree
  • Participate in community service and extracurricular activities
  • Exhibit a caring attitude, high moral character, and positive leadership skills Preference is given to students with financial need.
