Requirements

This program is open to juniors and seniors studying engineering at the University of New Mexico, New Mexico State University, or New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.

Applicants must submit 12 brief statements related to their past activities and future plans.

Selection is based on academic record, demonstrated school leadership positions, community involvement, and ability to earn partial tuition costs and fulfill financial needs.

Preference is given to children of a parent killed in military action.

A veteran, nonscholarship ROTC student or child of an active-duty service member may receive extra consideration.
