About the Scholarship

The Allen Hale Southern Mississippi Symphony String Scholarship supports students who are members of the Southern Mississippi Symphony Orchestra. Applicants seeking a bachelor's degree in music performance, music education, music, or English Language Institute students are welcome to apply, though special consideration will be given to string players. Students enrolled in the English Language Institute who participate in the orchestra are also eligible to apply for these awards. Recommendation by Director of Orchestral Activities only.
