About the Scholarship

The American Foreign Service Association (AFSA) Merit Awards Program is available to children of U.S. Government Foreign Service employees who are also AFSA members. The employee may be active duty, retired, or deceased Foreign Service employees. Additional scholarships are awarded to art merit applicants in one of the following categories: Creative Writing, Performing Arts, Musical Arts, or Visual Arts. Students who are seniors in high school are welcome to apply.
